St Vincent School

St Vincent is a disused Roman Catholic church- it was founded in the 1850s to minister to the Irish slums around it. Its parish members included many of the members of the Sheffield Gang Wars. At the turn of the 20th century it ran into difficulties with the slum clearances. It was heavily damaged in the Sheffield Blitz and struggled to rebuild. In 1998, it stopped being a place of worship and the surrounding buildings are in ruins.
