As I walked up to the Minster I felt almost lied to- surely this is a cathedral not simply classified as a "church"? This grand building is on par with some of the best cathedrals I've seen in France and UK.
Late English Gothic has more stone than French High Gothic but has the same aspiration to height
Victorian carved sculpture makes the statues 1/2 life sized to fit the full canopies allotted to them
