Dimini

Dimini, near to Sesklo, is the best known Late Neolithic (roughly 5000BC) settlement of Greece. Its polychrome, matte painted wares enjoyed wide circulation.

Sesklo

Sesklo is pretty THE Middle Neolithic (roughly began 6800BC) site of Greece (and of course Thessaly), known primarily for its red-on-white style. Excavated since the turn of the century, it has amazing preservation.

Ιερα Μονη Αγιου Νικολαου Αναπαυσα was our first monastery. We climbed up amongst the mists and watched them burn away from the utterly peaceful roof.
