The prime feature of Lincoln and one of the reasons it shows up on every
Gothic architecture course syllabus is its vaulting. The highly varied
nature of the vaults show a clear creativity and innovation applied to
almost every different part of the cathedral. You can see hints of this in the sweeping interior shots-the Northern aisle is one continuous vault while the Southern aisle emphasizes each bay....Oh vaults, I love you so.
