Athens Metro


one of the things I enjoy the most about Athens is the sense of history. The underground metro stations all have excavations exposed and protected or some form of archaeological material presented. The Monastiraki station is particularly brilliant since it explains what it is you are walking above, different stages of occupation, and other dorky archaeological information. Plus, the public transit works, the stations are interesting, is clean, and is on time...
