Lara Reserve Cave

To break up the tedium of our days, Paul takes us on excursions to other parts of the island. This is in Lara Reserve where they protect sea turtles from predators including humans. Paul took us down this cave which entailed some chimney style descent, some swinging into a crevasse, and the shimmying out of a crevasse barely the thickness of a human being. It was terrifying but exhilarating the entire time.

view from the top...the cave we descended to is in that depression

our fearless leader showing us the descent process

hole to the surface (much wider than the holes we used)
