Lincoln Cathedral-Vaulting

The prime feature of Lincoln and one of the reasons it shows up on every Gothic architecture course syllabus is its vaulting. The highly varied nature of the vaults show a clear creativity and innovation applied to almost every different part of the cathedral. You can see hints of this in the sweeping interior shots-the Northern aisle is one continuous vault while the Southern aisle emphasizes each bay....Oh vaults, I love you so.
