St Saviour





15th century-part of that last decade of English medieval art-and lacking that pared down renovation vibe

very ship like



Built in 1286 by royal decree but not consecrated until 1372, this church is clearly of the sea. I was sad not to be able to see the 13th century tree of life door but I was told that was temporary. You can also see various parts of Armada ships placed in the 1631.
