All Saints of North Street

visit this church before dark-it's worth it. However, even though it was dark I still managed to enjoy it!

I have no clue what's on top of that screen-pitch darkness
 but check out that chancel!

Holy Trinity at Goodramgate

it's a very secluded little church reached by obscure alleyways
 very rare stone altar
this little peekaboo tunnel is meant to be able to time celebrations correctly with the sun (no longer in church liturgy)
for washing the stuff for Eucharist
it's a very crooked church

St Martin's at Coney Street

the remains of the bombed nave and side chapel

I suspect St Martin's has a bitter pigeon history
 an interesting modern reredos

this fantastic 15th century window is huge and survived the bombing that destroyed the nave because of York's strategy of placing its windows into storage.

St Michael of Belfry

has the most restrictive church opening times in York but some playful gargoyles
